ANNUAL DAY REPORT
Sowing the seeds of brotherhood, love and affability K.R. MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL, VIKASPURI celebrated its ANNUAL DAY- ‘ Jashn-e-InDeutsch’ on 17th October 2015, which magnificently showcased the amalgamation of the Indian and the German culture. 20 student delegates from Germany performed enthusiastically; unravelling before us their culture and tradition and also danced to the tunes of the Indian Folk Songs. The occasion was graced by the Joint Commissioner of Police Mr. Dependra Pathak, IPS.
The Principal welcomed the august gathering and commended the efforts of the team in making the German delegation feel so at home that they became a partners of the mega annual day. The Annual report read out by the Middle school Head Boy and Head Girl Manan Suri and Maher Sondhi commemorated the high achievers of the school in the various national and international ventures undertaken by the school. The report also highlighted the campaigns and activities in which the school students fervently participated. The award giving ceremony ushered in a whiff of enthusiasm and delight in which the meritorious Mangalites were awarded for their exceptional performances in the scholastic and the co-scholastic areas.
The students through the play Jashn-e-InDeutsch made an endeavour to bring together the diverse culture and traditions of our mother India. Through their dances they encompassed the journey of the entire Indian sub continent with its vibrant and flamboyant colours. From the great Himalayas in the North to the vibrant colours of Punjab with its earthen scent and mouth watering aroma of sarso ka saag with students dancing to the tunes of giddha and bhangra. The journey from God’s own country ‘Kerala’ with its majestic backwaters and coconut palms from whose bosom arise great traditional dances like kathakali and mohiniyattam to the beauty and charm of the seven sisters of India through the Bamboo depicting their divine flora and fauna. The journey continued to the mystic landscape of Rajasthan with sand dunes and women performing Ghoomar to the awe-inspiring beaches of Goa. The journey finally culminated on the alluring lanes of Germany. The students depicted the journey of India from the Vedas to the great spiritual sages like Gautam Buddha who through their serenity and piousness spread the message of love and non violence uniting everyone within the common string of humanity. Everyone was mesmerised and enthralled after seeing the enchanting performance of the students. The event was a grand success and everyone was drenched in an aura of jubilation and bliss.
