K.R MANGALAM WORLD SCHOOL hosted the C.B.S.E North Zone – 1  Chess Competition  from 24 September to 26 September.60 Schools Participated In This Competition From Delhi ,Jammu & Kashmir , Haryana ,Punjab ,Uttar Pradesh , Himachal Pradesh .Chief Guest of the  opening ceremony was Ms Gurmurthya, Director Academics CBSE and  Mr. Tivari. General Sec. Chess Association. Chess Ballet and Cup of life Songs were performed.  Mr. Vohra, Director Sports from CBSE was the guest of honour for the closing ceremony.

Manpreet Singh of Class I-D was awarded as the youngest Chess player.
