EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO NASA (ORLANDO)
A group of 52 students along with 4 teachers and Principal Madam went for an educational trip to NASA (ORLANDO) from 22nd May to 31st May. The trip combined educational activities along with entertainment in a balanced proportion. The group visited Universal Studios on Day 1 which is one of the best theme parks in the world. The day was filled with fun & frolic as the group enjoyed different kinds of rides. On the 2nd Day fascination and thrill continued as the group visited “Sea World” where they got to see beautiful animals & witnessed beautiful performances by dolphins. There were a number of enjoyable rides also. Day 3 to Day 5 was spent at Kennedy Space Centre where the group instructor Mr. Sam and Ms. Cassandra took the students through the journey of Space history and the present and future prospects of Space Research. Students witnessed many real rockets in the rocket garden as well as real size models of many Space Capsules and lunar vehicles. They were explained the basics of astronomy and rocketry through programmes that included hands on activities, gallery visit and an I- Max 3D Film. On the 3rd Day camp indeed provided a wealth of knowledge to the campers. They were fortunate to have dinner with an Astronaut. They experienced weightlessness through a space shuttle ride. They were awarded certificates and medals for participation. Some students also won winner badges in the competitions conducted during the camp.
