We at K.R. Mangalam World School are taking initiative with a belief that MUN is a gateway to the development of higher order thinking skills amongst the youth of today. The KRMUN Vikaspuri 2014 Conference will be held on 31st October and 1st November 2014, at K. R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri , New Delhi from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm on both days. Students from Classes IX – XII from 18 schools of Delhi/NCR will be participating.
We will be simulating four smaller committees to ensure a more intimate committee experience and far more opportunities for participation and the support of a dedicated executive staff. The four committees and their agendas are: United Nations Security Council-Agenda: Building lasting peace in Gaza, United Nations Human Rights Council-Agenda: Emergency meeting: Alien Rights Crisis, United Nations Commission on the Status of Women -Agenda: Reproductive Rights, Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Agenda: The Situation of the Mekong River.
The event will be concluded with a closing ceremony. The Chief Guest and key note speaker is Mr. Sanjay Singh, a Retired Ambassador from Indian Foreign Service. The Guest of Honour is Mr. Muktesh Pardeshi, Chief Passport Officer of India. The Principal along with the honoured guests will be facilitating the outstanding delegates with awards.

After many days of preparations and anticipation, K R Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri, hosted its very first Intra School Model United Nations Conference on 1st and 2nd August, 2014. The committees simulated were the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). While delegates in CSW deliberated upon the Reproductive Rights of women, in ASEAN, the delegates in ASEAN tackled one crisis after another, ranging from Tsunami in the Philippines to disappearance of airplanes above Thailand. The Executive Board members proved to be exceptional mentors for the delegates, guiding them every step of the way. The event concluded with Principal Ma’am felicitating the outstanding delegates with awards. The event proved to be a success and a great experience for the students, where they learnt diplomacy, problem solving and debating
