OSIANS FESTIVAL-SCHOOL OUTREACH PROGRAMME


The Annual Osian's - Cinefan Film Festival has been an annual feature for the past decade and is now firmly established as the only large and the best film festival of the capital. We at K.R.Mangalam World School Vikaspuri were honoured to be a part of this mammoth and prestigious event.The theme of this year's school outreach prograamme was the story of cinema. The student press corps - an innovation this year - was directed towards honing , under the guidance of experts , the skills and talent of the best writers from schools to explore creative writing and inspired journalism. Seven students from K.R.Mangalam World School Vikaspuri represented our student press corps and did wonders. Their duties were two fold and comprised of conversation with , hold your breath , filmmakers and actors like Zoya Akhtar , Rajeev Khandelwal , Rajat Kapoor,Paresh Mokashi and interaction with the audience after the screening of films of substance made by filmmakers like Vishal Bhardwaj, Imtiaz Ali, Anurag Kashyap.What more the students of classes VIII , IX and XI witnessed the screening of Superstars of Malegaon . The movie sensitized the children about the hardships that movie makers with less resources face and completely changed the general mindset that documentaries are.
