A VISIT TO
THE PARLIAMENT MUSEUM
Students of K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri visited the Parliament Museum on the 23rd August’13. There was a lot of excitement in the air from the time the students came to know about the trip. The visit was way beyond the imagination of the students. Through the method of inter-active story telling the 2500 years of Indian History of Democracy came alive to them. They could visualise everything they had learnt in their text books as they could walk through the period setting with large screen interactive computer, immersive visualisation with multi-screen panoramic projection, virtual reality and animatronics.
But their excitement knew no bounds when they came to know that their Principal, Ms.Meenu Kanwar had arranged a meeting for them with the Union Cabinet Minister for Transport, Road and Highway, Mr Oscar Fernandes at the museum. They were overwhelmed to know that he had come to meet them specially. He interacted with the children on various topics, shared his varied experiences with them and blessed them. Overall it was a fruitful, enjoyable, knowledgeable and memorable trip.
