VISIT TO AN NGO
“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” ― Mother Teresa
In KRM, Vikaspuri, we as teachers believe in the joy of giving, since the happiness one gets from giving and sharing for what we have with those unfortunate ones is such which cannot be put into words.
Students of classes VI to VIII took the initiative and successfully volunteered for “Anand Vidyalaya” one of the NGOs being run by the Dhyan Foundation in Kirti Nagar. There were around 25 students with four persons including teachers and volunteers from the same organization. The students of the middle school collected 473 notebooks and donated them from their own hands to the underprivileged children.
The main reason behind the visit to the NGO is to inculcate the feeling of giving among the students but, moreover to be sensitive towards such causes and above all, giving back to community.
Our school students interacted with the children of the NGO taught them how to color a picture and the importance of celebrating Diwali. The underprivileged children also sang “Hum Honge Kamyaab” for our school students.
It was truly an enlightening experience for all of us since it tells us not to forget we all are human beings and been sent on earth by god to help the humankind which we can do by giving atleast a fraction in order to bring a smile in other people’s lives.
