Annual exhibition – Wheels of Change
K. R. Mangalam World School, Vikas Puri presented its Annual Exhibition – ‘Wheels of Change’ on December 2009. The day began by welcoming the Chief Guests, Mr. Dharam Pal Singh, Regional Director, CBSE, Mr. Inder Dev Gupta, Chairman, K. R. Mangalam World School, Vikas Puri and Mr. Ganju, the Educational Advisor who inaugurated the exhibition by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The children presented a cultural programme which began with enthralling notes of the school orchestra followed by a classical “Mohiniattam” dance performance. The literary characters from 17th to 21st century were brought alive by the students. They held the audience spellbound by enacting various scenes from famous plays like Shakespeare’s ‘Merchant of Venice’, R.K. Narayan’s ‘Malgudi Days’, Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice.’ The audience enjoyed some lighter moments with the humorous ‘Hasya Kavi Sammelan’. Hindi Dance Drama “Dashavataar” was liked and applauded by one and all. The Chief guest appreciated the efforts of the students who had depicted the ‘Wheels of Change’ over the period of five centuries through their work in scholastic and co-scholastic areas. ‘Mangal Kriti’ exhibited the work done by the students in Art and Craft wherein they displayed their artistic talents. The astronomy club of the school put up a display titled ‘Countdown the unknown’ featuring the development of astronomy from the ancient to the present times. The management, the PTA executive body, parents and other visitors appreciated the hard work of the students and the teachers which had gone in making the exhibition a grand success.
