World Food Day
The students of Class II-C presented an assembly on World Food Day on 28th October, 2013. The children were excited and fully enthusiastic about their participation in the assembly. The entire class participated in the assembly.
World Food Day is celebrated on 16th October every year. It aims at reducing food wastage and promoting healthy eating habits. The students highlighted the importance of Balanced Diet which consists of all three types of food groups namely- Body Building Food, Energy Giving Food, Protective Food and water.
The children dressed up as different fruits and vegetables and emphasized the benefits of eating them. The children then sang a rhyme “Lots of fruits and vegetables we must eat, Less of chocolates less of sweets” to highlight the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables. They also shared some amazing facts about food. They also presented a dance at the end.
The children were well groomed and organized in each and every aspect of their performance. Parents also showed their support by attending the assembly and applauding their little ones.
